TRAUMA THERAPY

Trauma Therapy Services

Imagine what your life would look like if your fears or anxiety weren’t holding you back. How would your relationships be different? Would you spend more time doing things that you love? What would it be like to even feel happy or safe again? Trauma therapy may be your solution.

I specialize in the treatment of trauma and post traumatic stress disorder with teens and adults. Trauma therapy includes singular trauma as well as complex trauma, in addition to common co-occurring problems such as substance use and depression. I use short-term, evidence-based therapies to help you get back to living your life faster. Most people will benefit from short-term interventions for trauma and PTSD. Evidence-based psychotherapies can have a significant, deep, and long-lasting impact on your life in a relatively short period of time.

My approach includes therapies such as eye movement densensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), prolonged exposure (PE), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), written exposure therapy (WET), and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), among others. Cognitive behavioral therapies such as these have been found to be the most effective forms of treatment for PTSD based upon psychological research. I am happy to schedule a brief consultation appointment to discuss your goals and to help you decide if this therapeutic approach would be a good fit for you. It is important that you feel comfortable and confident in the work that we do, and I want to empower you to make choices that feel right for you! Following the consultation, we will schedule an assessment to thoroughly discuss your personal history and current treatment needs and collaborate to create an individualized treatment plan based upon your goals.
